Redner Farm that will use an .mxi

Are there any render farms that will resume an .mxi or do they have to start with an .mxs ?
I tried Render Rocket and they said they don't do that, they only support v1.7 and they are not sure if they will support v2.

You cannot render with only an MXI, because an MXI is just the output image buffer. That is to say, Maxwell renders an MXS to produce an MXI.

If we send both, it seems like they could resume the render from where it is and use less render farm time. Is that an option or do they not let you do that so they can charge you for more render time ?

Probably depends on their policies so you should email the company. Also, if you're talking about starting a render on one machine and then sending that mxi to be rendered over a network farm, I'm not sure if that's possible - at least as a Resume. I think it needs to, at some point, have been started from scratch over the network so that it can set different seed values so the noise is different from render to render, which is what allows you to merge them together and get an improved SL. Could be wrong on that though.
