region render

Lately, it seems to be impossible for me to render region in studio when exported to mxst from rhino. All looks fine, select region under sensor, select the region which then gets indicated, hit render, and get the full render. Region render directly from rhino works fine. Where am i missing something?

2 possibilities. I'm not sure I understood your process but from in studio you go to Selection -> Region and then a small button pops up just to the right of that button, it looks like a small selection rectangle. Click that button and THEN make your selection.

If that's what you're doing, then my guess is that you've got some shift lens going on in your camera? If so, for some reason studio can't render out regions and it will also mess up the placement of your HDRI vertically. I've made a couple posts on this in the bug section without response thus far http://maxwellrender.com/forum/viewtopi ... 12&t=33899

Hi Brodie,

Had a marginal shift lens value, probably by accident. Probably the reason why i didn't notice the shift in the viewport. But taking out the values does not solve the problem yet. Re-exported from rhino again after putting the shift values there to zero as well. Still full render. Used the procedure like you said, did many region renders in studio before, but now it just won't work anymore.

Interesting. Can you upload the file to dropbox or somewhere and post a link?
