2.1.0.3 ?

I noticed in new think tutorial movies and also user mentioned on forum here that they using 2.1.0.3 but the maxwell protal gatway download only has download for 2.1.0.0?! where have ya'll been getting the 2.1.0.3 patch?

it didn't work for me.
I hate it when I don't understand the instructions!
"Maxwell Render 2.1 Network Patch * Contains a fixed version of the Maxwell Render and MXIMerge application. Unpack and store in the Maxwell Render installation folder, overwriting the old ones."
What and where is the Maxwell Render Installation folder? Sorry I don't know that.
If I dbl click on the downloaded .exe files I get an error message.

Also, why is the upgrade I just bought a few days ago 2.1.0.0 instead of 2.1.0.3 ?

You may need to extract the file out of the .zip folder before trying to execute it.

I tried that first. And extracting the files to several other places that seemed like a logical place. I have no idea what the "installation folder" is named,where it is, or was.
Perhaps I would recognize it by some other name. ? Local App Data folder ? Program folder? Installation folders are temperary and get deleted as soon as the program is installed.

Unless you set it up otherwise your installation folder is likely....
C:\Program Files\Next Limit

C:\Program Files\Next Limit\Maxwell 2
P.S: Reading when installing a program is always advised.

I think you're thinking of the .exe download location being temporary/deleted... The installation folder would be where the program goes once extracted and installed, which you'd have to keep on your PC or it won't work. That's the directory Maxwell is asking for. By the sounds of things, you've found it, but for future reference that's the case.
