Hi Mcnell followers,
We have a single version of Maxwell Render 2.0 Studio.
After 2 months with no problems, we got an error everytime we try to save a file from Maxwell studio application.

I make my best to resolve the error but there are no solutions:
I have upgraded the pc with all microsoft upgrade.
I have uninstalled maxwell and rhino.
I have cleaned my reg with cc cleaner.
I have erased the destination installation folders.
I have re-installed the software.

Again the same problem.

Can you help me?

I remember having problems saving due to admin rights etc... If you have win7, you have to know where to save... For example, I was trying to render the simball scene in Program files\...Maxwell... and I couldn't because the temp mxi could not be written in the directory of mxs file... I copied the simball mxs to another directory in D drive and everything was OK.

Probably there is something else but it is all I can think of.

- What exactly does the error say?
- Is it happening with EVERY single scene - for example, if you open Maxwell Studio and try to save a blank scene?

i tried with a blank scene on the user desktop (user not administrator) after have given complete access on the disk c: to everyone.
The pc freezed one week ago and both Maxwell and Rhino lost some settings.
Rhino now is working but Maxwell crash every single time.

The error is:
app name: studio.exe App ver. 1.0.0.1 offset: 0002a5bf

it is a windows xp error.

The pc is in our domain. i have reinstalled graphic driver also..

Have I to change the pc to solve this problem?

Do you get this "App name: studio.exe App..." error when you launch Studio, on when you are rendering an scene?

Did you detected any problem also in Rhino? Did you get it solved?

As you say, the Windows crash could break something somewhere in your system.

In that case, maybe just repairing Windows could fix it.

everytime I save any files... also blank files...

I installed all the updates of Windows.
Now Rhino after reinstallation works perfectly.
Only Maxwell doesn't work.
But i can work on a job for hours and it works.. when i need to save.. pufff studio.exe closed....
DAMN

any ideas?
