Hi there,

I have one dummy question regarding the render layer:

I am working on a scene where I have very few transparent material used.
I activated all the render layers except the indirect refraction.

Do these layers activated have an impact on every single object of the scene (even the plain color object with no transparency) or the caustic layers refer specifically to the transparent objects?

Additionnally, I would like to know if these layers have an impact on the render timing when actived and eventually useless.
