I have two seperate node licenses. When I veiw license info in Maxwell render it show all the licenses. When I check licesnse info in maxwell studio it says 1 full license and 0 (zero) nodes. I am still have ing issues. It keeps telling my I have run out of licences when trying to render on my node.

Your node licenses and your full license need to be in the same text file -- or you can enter them into the render application if you prefer.
This should be the same on all machines.
Best,
Jason.

I used the add function to add them. This how I did it on all my machines..I checked my license text file. They are a complied into one file. I wish I could use my nodes like I did with 1.7.1. i was able to just open maxwell render and use that. I could oprn as many instances of maxwell render and render with differnt thread configs. Now if I do that it tells me i run out of licenses. I am way behind on a project. I tried to upload to rebus farm but but it failed. siad instances had traingles without materials which is bull. Everything on my end renders fine...except for the node I can't seem to get working with 2.1

I have used the Ranch Renderfarm before with great success. It's good in a pinch.
Have you tried sending an email to NL support?

Maxwell copies the license.txt from the applications dir to the user's documents dir the first time it launchs.
The problem is, if you update the license.txt in the applications dir, and an older version of it has been previously copied to the documents dir, then Maxwell will still use the old one.
Try closing maxwell, deleting the copy in your Documents dir, and then restarting it. It should copy the new license.txt from the application directory and use that.

Brian,
I tried to use the ranch as well. I paid my 10 dollars and it redirected me back to the ranch but it asked me to pay the 10 dollars again, little confused about that. Plus I was operating on very little sleep the last few days so patients was thin. I sent them an email and have not heard back from them. I downloaded the software. Tried to validate my project with ranch hacker but it failed. Anyway I got everything to render the job is done. It was just a bit painful.
dmeyer,
I will try what you suggest.
Thanks,
Aaron
I just check the license.txt file in my documents-maxwell folder and it is current. It show all three licenses in one .txt file.
One question..When I launch maxwell studio it always says 1+0 nodes. It should say 1+2 nodes? Since I have two nodes installed. So this leads me to belive that something is wrong. If I open maxwell render and check license info, it shows them all added to the console. Just not sure where this is going wrong.
Thansks for the suggstions.
