when i try to merge two MXI (rendered with new 2.1) i get the message that they don´t match and i should check resolution, region and multilight settings.
but i have checked all these and they seem identical.
what else could be the problem?
cheers
michael

Did anything change in the scene between renders? If you can, PM me a download link for the files and I can take a look.

same here... can't merge the mxi rendered on two PC's...
nothing has changed. Same .mxs. One has been rendered via network monitor on one PC and the other directly with maxwell on my workstation...

You're right.
We've detected some issues on the merging process under some circumstances.
Fortunately we've already solved it.
We are close to release a new version with this issue solved, but we've uploaded a patch fixed version that will allow you to render without those problems.
Since today, on the Maxwell Download Area (through our Customer Gateway) there is a new option on the Maxwell download combo, named "Version 2.1 (Network Patch)", including a newer version of Maxwell and the MXIMerge applications.
Simply download it, unpack and paste it on your Maxwell application folder (overwriting the old ones). You have to do the same in all the computers in your farms.
Let me know if this solves the problem.
Greetings

I, too, have been getting some errors sometimes in the merging stage of network rendering. Thanks for the downloadable; hopefully this patch
dispatches those errors! ha ha ha
So far so good for this fix doing its job.

Update:
It has been working well for me. One big-pain-in-the-butt error that was plaguing me before the patch hasn't reared its head since, and I'm very thankful for that.

We are having this same issues and we just purchased the program so I think it is version 2.7. Why would we be getting this message if it was fixed in previous versions?

Are you sure all the computers are licensed? Check each MXI and see if they are the same size and pixel dimension. If one of the computers isn't licensed it will run in demo mode and have the watermark, so naturally it can't merge the MXIs.

It's the most common reason for this problem we get in tech support.
