IBL Reflection

Hi Guys,

View the pix below. Reflection was done using HDR image in the IBL and lighting using light panels (unseen by rays) which will not be seen in the reflections. Image on the left has the cover left opened and reflections seen clearly, but image on the right when the cover is closed, the reflections are gone. Any idea what went wrong?

Try using AGS material instead of refractive glass?

I think that you need to enable the same HDRI for the refraction slot as well, since its a reflection of a refraction that the camera sees.

Exactly. I can't think of any other mistake here.

Hi guys, sorry late reply. Was not working over the weekend.

Hi Bubbaloo, as for the light panels unseen by rays (in Lightwave 3D) im actually using these lights panels for lighting purposes only and doesn't want it to be seen in the reflections.

Hi Tom, problem solved. I didnt expect that i need to place the same image in the refraction under IBL as well.

Hi Tora, thanks for the advice.
