Another "protected geomtery" export out of MXS question

I have searched the forums, but unless I missed something I still did not see a solution to this in any of the threads.
I created a model in Maya, exported as a .mxs file, imported into Maxwell and if I try to export as a .obj it get the "protected geometry" error. Are we still not able to export models out of Studio as an .obj, even in Maxwell V2?
