Hi guys!

Sorry if this topic is in the wrong place but I noticed that the plugin support page for 3DS max is rarely visited these days so I thought I would post here to hopefully get a faster reply from you nice people.

Ok, I have two issues with the latest 3DS max plugin for V2.
Firstly, in the material editor, I cannot see some of the BSDF properties such as Roughness. No matter what I do I cannot make it seem to show up on screen. Ive had this problem for all of the version updates of the plugin.

The first issue was not too bad as I just exported an MXS file and did the materials in Studio but now I cant even export an MXS file from 3DS Max. When I try to do so the Maxwell Translation Window pops up saying "Warining: Invalid path extension (in method setPath)".

This has only just recently started happening so I re-installed the plugin but the same thing is happening.

Can anyone help? I'm going insane trying to figure these problems out!!!
Thanks is advance.

Are you using Maxwell 2.0.3 or 1.7.1? It sounds like you have the wrong plugin version. Also what version of Max are you using?

Yeah I think that is the problem. The plugin version I have is newer than the version of maxwell render and studio that Im currently using.
Ill look into updating when I have more time. As for the other problem, Im using 3DS Max 9 I know its a very old version but its what I have to use because of University.

Strangely though I just opened up 3DS Max now and the roughness value etc were now viewable for whatever random reason so that is no longer a problem for now. I just cant get my head around it so I'll post back later if the problem comes back again.

But thanks for the help :D
