Water in Glass and reflections question

when I'm creating a water in glass scenario, should I have any reflectivity on the liquid that is inside the glass? I am assuming no, since the water pressed up against the glass is effectively one continuous surface at that point and light will simply pass through the liquid instead instead of reflecting at all.

No, you should think (and model) the water as it is included inside the glass volume; something like a bubble. Check this thread:

Check the glass graphic at the end of the first post.

Thanks for the response. I have the liquid modeled like that, my question is about the material for the liquid itself. I'm not sure if it's correct to make the liquid's material reflective, or if only the glass should have reflections and they should be disabled for the liquid.

It should be a normal water material. Don't change the roughness value.
