need a translucent material tonight

Hi,
I am posting this here since I looked at the resources board and its quit lonely there this weekend.

I need a translucent material as soon as possible. The resource site has been down for a while and I can not get a material right for a project.

What I need is a semi transparent glass milky white. What ever I seem to do my semitransparents always come out very dark, almost black. I really wonder how you can make a sheet of glass look lightcolored and opaque, or half opaque. I tried the sss variables but its crashing my system. As a half baked solution I just add a bit of roughness but its not really nice to interupt the reflection pattern with the normal glass sheets in my image.
Any help is very appreciated.
Francois

I'm not quite sure, but maybe this thread will be helpful:

TX, really nice to respond on a saterdaynight. I am on a deadline for monday, tmy system needs 30 hours to render the images. And I can hardly see now since I have a swollen eye right now.
Well, what saved me now is that Sketchup exports a nice semitransparant when you set the material as such. I always exchanges the glass for low grade or other mxm gallery materials.

I am on my way again now and the render are grainy but promising.

I had crasches non stop today but now everything is fine again. I have no clue what happened.
