Hi i was having issues with my old database and wanted a fresh one to install on a new computer

Do we just import our old one or is there a new optimized database ?

The material database that comes with the installer? There is a new one that comes with V2 but you can also browse to the old one if you still have Maxwell 1.x installed.

The materials that I can see in in v2 in my materials database exiting are limited... some from arroway and a few sss materials etc

In V1 we would always download a separate database and drop it to the correct folder.

is this still available ? new computer so v 1 isnt installed and i cant find my material database that is "fresh"

You can still download that texture pack from the customer download area ("Additional content"). The old V1 material database was made smaller since it had many repetitive materials. You'll have less but more useful ones in V2, instead of 50 plastic materials with just the color changed.

The only texture pack is the arroway textures

This consists of .jpg images and a feg tga files

There is no material database in the "additional content" section

am I missing something ?
