BROWSER SLOOOWW

Hello all

browsing in mxm editor is so slow we have a decent library gig lan only two of us access it
vista 64bit machines etc etc any idea how to speed it up!

Maybe the lack of replies is because no one has used the feature yet besides you, i admit i have not yet tested it but i could run some tests tonight and see what happens if anything.

So, it looks like the bottleneck is network, not Maxwell. ;) Are you using a 100Mpbs switch? I'd suggest 1Gbps...

hmmm but we are using 1 gig lan on whole network...

role on 2g lan!

If you think SATA3 speed is 3Gbps, naturally 1Gbps would still be 3 times slower and it's not something we can help. If you experience more than 3 times of loss in speed, check other potential applications (antivirus, firewall etc) which may be processing files at the same time.

yeah no probs with anti virus or other system related progs slowing us up its the volume and 1 gb lan
ho hum... means making more cups of tea

+1 i have the same problem with nobski..

my material library is on a NAS system and very very slow compared to version 1.7 :cry:

i have no problem outside maxwell with my NAS
