dispersion fx & rendertime

hi,
this is going to be a some kind of noob question since i not really am experienced in rendering huge amounts of sl, so effects (forgive me using this biased word) like dispersion are seldomly in use. but, hey, i'm trying to get used to the fact, that i got a i7 *g*, so here's the picture:

Image
it has been rendering for about 5h now and shows an sl of 21.61.
dispersion is on for all elements.

now, what i want to know:
when you look at the preview you'll see those "splotches"... are those effects, that are going to clear up and show nicely any time or could those be some preview "errors" due to activated dispersion in combination with the rs0 enginge (if it is still rs0, that is in use for previews in V2 at all)
some colored dots have already showed up in the big render... generally, thos slotches showed up quite late, don't remember, maybe somewhere in the late 18's or so... but i'm not sure, if those are the beginning of what will be a nice effect... because the colors seems quite strange in this region... if you look at them...

so maybe someone high-sl-experienced can tell me, if it's worth it to let it render (or resume) for as long as it takes or if it's something that had to fail from the beginning.
if it's the last option, then i'll just stop that render, you know ;)

thx for having a look.
