I know working from a Revit file has it's issues but I'm hoping to address one of them here.
When I export an MSX from Revit my Objects list in Studio is ridiculously long as it itemizes every occurrence of an object. What I'd like to do is find a way to easily group or merge objects with similar names. I get names like "Dimension Lumber 2x6 [1116848]" with the last series of numbers unique to each item. It would be ideal if I could group/merge objects by some user-defined selection set.
I know I can Select by Keyword to manually grab objects in order to group/merge them but I was hoping for a more automated approach.
Any thoughts or am I stuck with dealing with the manually?
