I'm new to Maxwell. Having problems with UVs in Studio after exporting from SU.

I assign an Arroway brick material to replace the Sketchup standard brick material onto a wall and Studio says I need to adjust the Projector data. The brick wall goes around a 90 degree corner and it is/was a group in Sketchup. I adjust the X scale to 5 but don't need to touch the Y scale at all to arrive at what looks like a standard brick size. Why the one axis and not the other I wonder? Also I'd like to know why this needs changing in the first place and am I altering it correctly (it seems a bit rough and approximate rather than cm accurate.

I'm sure this is a real newbie question, apologies!

I'm assuming you are using my Arroway materials -- they come in 2 flavors "Realscale" and "Relative-Tiling (1x1)".

If you are working in Sketchup I recommend you just use these SketchUp (SKM) materials to map the Arroway texture as you wish (directly inside SketchUp): http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/view ... 07&t=38528 -- these will replace the SKM material with the relative tiling (1x1) MXM at export.

Now as to why this happening -- You are attempting to use a "realscale" material on an object that does not have 1x1 meter UV projectors ("normalized" in Maxwell Studio) -- so the tiling will not match up with real world scale (which is set within the material itself)... the fix in this case (within Studio) is to to change the UV type to "Cubic" and click the "normalize" button.

Best,
Jason.
