Hello,
I am using Maxwell Studio with Sketchup plugin. While Sketchup is not able to handle large objects like trees, I have the following workflow:
- export scene without trees in Sketchup
- open scene in Studio
- import mxs-tree objects as mxs-references
- scale and place the references in Studio
The problem is: in my opinion placing objects in Studio is a little difficult because there is no object snapping or tool to measure distances etc.
Maybe it would be a good workaround to place dummy-trees in Sketchup and replace them with the references in Studio preserving the position.
Does anybody know, if this is possible or does anybody know another trick?
Thank you,
kind regards
Umdrehung
P.S.
I know there is a _proxy functionality in the Sketchup plugin but therefor I would have to import the tree model at least once in Sketchup and this is a pain.
