Hi,
Im having a problem with maxwell crashing. I’ve had a few crashes in the past, but its become chronic now. I initially thought it was one scene, but I’ve loaded some old scenes, that renders fine at the time, and had them crashing too!!! The renders run for some time, then I get the crash message. It usually gets to SL 9 or 10, and sometimes 11 or 12 before crashing. I initially upgraded to V2.6 via the patch upgrade, but have tried an uninstall and installed from the full 2.6 download. I’ve tried HDR lighting, sky and emitters. I’ve noticed that It seems to run to higher SL when Im rendering at lower resolution.
I feel like I’ve tried everything to see if I can identify if its resolution/lighting/material that is causing the problem and it doesnt seem like anyone else is posting problems, so could it be hardware based? I did a memory check a while ago and it didnt seem like there were any problems.
Any advice would be appreciated as Im struggling to get work out for clients.
