um.... where did the "render Blowup" button go in v2.5?!
I use it to fix my renderings:
I have a client who changed their mind about a piece of furniture. Instead of re-rendering the entire scene, I usually just make the change and render the updated area instead of the entire scene which takes hours....

It is possible that i'm blind
Can some one let me know?

Heh......found it

It's under:
- Render options
- Sensor
- Selection

Was it always there? I know there once was a button... but I never noticed this option.

It updated to that format in 2.0. It's nice because it now saves your region saves your selection marquee! Very handy.
