I was going to try to do a lamp shade that is single sided for an interior with a small cube as an emitter. Is this a big no no? The scene is lit with physical sky. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I would make the shade to emit light (mxi) while being and opaque object. Also add the emitter inside if the shade is not a closed one. Use multilight to adjust intensities. I thhink this would be more efficient than single side sss.
