Mihai wrote::D One cool thing for example, when using ML you notice that one emitter creates more noise than others, since it's on a separate layer in PS now, you can run heavier de-noising just on this layer, instead of running it on the whole image....
This is very appealing, but the PS noise reduction filter is greyed out...I can add it but not reduce it. Running on CS4 Ext, 32 bit image.

Just checked and it works fine with 16 bit.

Hello guys,

At Next Limit we are happy to hear that you are finding this new plugin useful for your daily work.

We are pretty sure that this is going to change definitely our workflow, allowing us to render and adjust our renders in a more accurate and friendly way, putting Maxwell and Photoshop closer.

About the saving MXI question: Yes, it will be possible in the future.

And about the noise reduction question: we just can do what Photoshop can do in 32Bits. The plugin imports the MXI and displays all its channels into a layered structure, converting the MXI file into a readable Photoshop document, but as Photoshop has several tools still disabled in 32Bits, we can not make them to work.
Obviously, you could use those tools by converting your render into a 16Bits document, which in most situations is more than enough.

We are waiting to see if Photoshop CS5 allows us to use all its common tools and filters in 32Bits.

By the way, thank you for your nice words, and enjoy the new Maxwell-Photoshop workflow.

Greetings

Hello,

Would someone elaborate what this plug-in is allowing them to do in Photoshop that can not be done in multi-light. Does it allow for more light & color of light adjustments?

Thanks,

Gary

One thing is you can work much faster in photoshop than in maxwell render to do changes in light and color and you have all other channels to.the other thing is you can do some layer adjustments which are common and this in one application so this one is really nice.
