It was also in prior plug releases the case that one is limited respecting the count of characters used to specify the "Working folder" within the "Maxwell Render Settings".
If I counted correctly the path of the folder in which you want see your mxs saved must not have more than 100 characters.
If it's more than 100 characters, c4d crashes right in the moment where m~r starts to render (which it does perfectly btw).
This was also the case in prior releases as mentioned... I thought it had to to with the count of subfolders, but it's the count of used characters that provokes this c4d-crash.
