by Michel Wuest
I did made the new Mac OSX 10.4.9 Update. After this Cinema crashes always after startup with the Maxwell Plugin!
If i move the File "maxwell.dylib" out of the Cinema Plugins Folder, Cinema works without a crash, but the plugin is missing. If i put this file back in the Folder, cinema alwas crashes after start up. So i can't work in Cinema with the Maxwell Plugin.
Next Limit Programmers P L E A S E correct maxwell plugin for Cinema 10 and Mac OSX 10.4.9 fastly. I am blocked with my work!
Thanks

My Computer Settings are:
MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB 667 MHz DDRAM
Mac OS X 10.4.9
HD 111GB
Latest Maxwell Version 1.1 with the latest Cinema Plugin for MacIntel Computer
Cinema 4D R10.008 (Warp 10) (BodyPaint 3D)
AND I HAVE STILL THE PROBLEM. WITHOUT THE MAXWELL-PLUGIN CINEMA WORKS, WITH THE CINEMA-PLUGIN CINEMA R10 CRASHES AFTER START UP. I DID'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH MAC OS X 10.4.8.
Thanks solong

Yes, this problem is a very nasty one, some computers are affected by this but others aren't, even same models and configurations. We are trying to find out what has happened on those computers in the update that made it happen.
Try to remember if you were running Cinema while OS X was updating and if it made it fail. If so, try to reinstall cinema and test again.

I'm sure, Cinema wasn't ran during the system update.
But i try to reinsall Cinema in the new System-Update. Perhaps it work's after that.

I did reinstall Cinema. I did download the Maxwell Plugin again.
It didn't help. I have still the same problem!
With the maxwell-plugin, cinema crashes (After startup Cinema goes freezes). I have to shoot down the programm, because it's hanging.
Without the plugin (maxwell.dylib) Cinema works.
I hope you can help. Solong thank's a lot.
Greetings Michel

Is a new update in view, which recovers this problem? Am I really the
only one on earth with this problem?

Hi,
We've been doing some tests here with a machine that had those problems (we had other machines with exactly the same configuration that didn't have problems so we think is some kind of problem in the default OSX updater). We have solved it installing again with the combo updater.
-Go to:
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ ... intel.html and download that updater
-Quit all applications running.
-Install the updater and do nothing while it installs
-Restart and cross your fingers
Good luck

Hi,
I have exactly the same problem, I'm on a dual G4ppc. I have tried every combination of versions of software and operating system available with no change. Please help!

Hello again,
being as I'm not on an Intel Mac will I have to wait for OS X 10.5 to sort this out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Justin.

Hello Justin,
Have you tried with this one?:
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ ... teppc.html
Let's hope we can find a solution before 10.5 release, you can always try to revert to 10.4.8.

Hi again Justin,
Cinema 4D has released the R10.1 update, you can download it from their web page, you can check if it works after installing their update also.
