You're trying to write an mxs file to load in MxwStudio?
Normally it works fine. just get the latest plugIn, install and put the cinemaxwell in the cinema/plugins folder.... that should do it. Think you did it that way?
Then create a sphere/ box or whatever. Create a camera with a target on the object. Open the maxwell-dialogue via plugins/(NL) CineMaxwell4D 1.0. Enable skydome or physical and/or sun and hit render.
Normally your scene should render. Make sure the perspective view is activated when you hit render! Maxwell nowadays renders the active view, but without a target cam it's not always focused.
Play around with iso and shutterspeed if the picture is too bright or too dark. (if it appears black, try iso 800 and shutterspeed 1 and if it still shows nothing, post again, please. Perhaps with the scene you are trying to render.)
