Hy I have a problem

When i had frontal mapping textures to a object

in the render appears, no texture, all in black.

If i change the texture to cubic mapping, it renders ok.

But i need to use frontal mapping...

MAXWELL DON`T ACCEPT FRONTAL MAPPING :?:

ANY CLUE :?:

Thanks

Hi goncalo.

Here, I've got the same problem, so I think frontal-proj is not supposed to work.

This workaround may help you, for some needs it could help indeed:

Map your tex via frontal projection. Adjust your cam, how you need it to be.
Then click on your texture tag and choose to generate an uvw-tag.

If you're done with this, the projection changes from frontal to uvw, then apply your custom-mxm and choose as "x texture tag" the newly generated uvw tag.
This way mxcl will render your scene.

Don't forget, that primitives have to be converted to polys otherwise it won't work.

You surely will have to do this all over again and again, when you change the cam perspective, because by generating an uvw-tag you "bake" the tex from the once chosen perspective.

Hope, it helps a little.

Cheers. Mesut.
