polygonselection -useless??

hi,
i just tried to make a use of polygonselection and mxm-materials.
my problem:
it´s not possible, to add a 2nd mxm-material-tag to an object.
i´ts possible, to have 1 plastic and 1 mxm-material controlled by polygonselection but i just need mxm-materials...
any idea??
that CANNAOT be true, must have overlooked something

You can't have more than one same maxwell tags on an object. It is a C4D limitation (for obvious reasons).

so now, we have polygonselection with just a single material???
that CANNOT be true!
Please NL, just give us a few indetical MXM-Tags with differet names!!
Just like:
Maxwell Custom MXM 1
Maxwell Custom MXM 2
Maxwell Custom MXM 3
Maxwell Custom MXM 4
sorry but i´m really disappointed with that version.

not ture, you can have more than one selection tag, you can have more than one c4d material, you can have more than one uvw tag etc....
so this is the prove of concept- it IS POSSIBLE.
with all respect to NL and Tyron i fear it really seems this is not yet really working. also to have drag EACH texture into EACh material Tag is crazy.
Please dear NL, fix that somehow. at the moment the v1 plugin was more fluent to work with than with 1.1.
i appreciate the new features and improvement overall though. but with the plugin is something strange.

the polygone selection will not export to studio,and also for what
we got a polygone selection with only a one selection is allowed !
i am sorry this is the badest "M~R plug" in release we ever got !
or i am a stupid man ?

you caanot have 3 different mxms.
it´s just possible to use different tags like 1 plastic, 1 diffuse and one mxm.
to have 2 or more mxm controlled by polygonselection is not provided...

Is it possible to reassign the needed materials in studio then?

i add custom mxm to a 3d object and now i get only error codes,like this:
object arch has...triangel without material ????
i checked everything for a reason but there is no polyselection and nothing wrong,
after i delete the "custom mxm" the render works,without any bitmaps
but it will render !
ok,after 3 days of error codes and nothing is realy working and study the new manual serveral times and, i deletet M~R 1.1 from my hardisc and replace it with M~R RC5 !

But in C4D you can separate the selected polys from the mesh by using Explode Segments or Disconnect, i can't remember which one it is now. And anyways that way you get a subgroup with the selected polys under your current object, in other words it's like two separate objects of one and then you can add different Custom MXM's to those polyselections from within C4D without going through Studio and doing it there. I'll throw in some screenshots of what i'm trying to say to make it easier to understand

And the MXM's assigned to each of those groups, gold to one and glass to the other.

but is´nt the main advantage of polygonselection the use of different materials for _one_ object?!
anyway, that plugin could be helpful, as long as we have no polygonselection with multible mxm:

Same problems with 3dsmax, so i guess its not the plugins, could be the render engine.
