new (old) problems? - fireflies?

I just rendered an old model of a station that I began a while ago.

Next to the rails on the left side you can see a lot of small point. the preview window has very dark areas dotted with fireflies.

The same problem directly underneath the glas roof.

(The roof texture on top that you can see at the right side is not yet correct, but not for discussion - just a misplaced texture.)

edit: rendered from cinema via cinemaxwell. RC5

The preview doesn't use the same algorithm afaik, so fireflies there
shouldn't be troubling too much. Your final render doesn't look like
firebugged to me.

P.S.: You were able to assign the textures with the custom MXM? Or didi you use "classic" Maxwell diffuse here?

some diffuse, plastics and metals and a dielectric. no mxm used.

assigned in cinemaxwell - no use of studio at all.

Not firebugged - but somekind of weird pixeling around the train rails.

Caustics next to the rails? & the black patch caused by objects passing through a dielectric material? (this problem has been reported somewhere else too)
