Yes, thank you.

I suppose it's newsworthy if it means Cinema people don't have to open Studio just to apply a meterial.

Anyone know if the date and location from the plugin to making the mxs fileworks properly yet?

yes. before cinema was not able to use mxm materials except via the use of studio. Now we can keep to cinema and render also mxm-materials using the plugin.

That's what it is for - avoiding the studio and having to do things twice (like getting back the object tree). That way we can work as we are used to. just the material tags look different from normal cinema mat-tags. :D

I havent used the c4d plugin in a while, since it has not been updated for a long time. Can you still not apply one material to a group and have it affect the whole group? I thought there was still a bunch of issues that make applying materials tedious? I guess I should just go download it and check it out.

So it looks good. Work properly to me this time....

I thing we can use all materials like before, except the plastic one. Or when you need some new material featule (like coating), you have to use mxm material. All other works properly like before... I am no sure about attenuatin in dieletric. Zero absorbtion translates like 999m attenuation, so it is fine for my arch glass...

Now im quite happy. Workflow is better, i just make some materials in studio. Should be better of course. Especiall handling materials inside C4D. But like i said: now it is much better.

So thanks NL... But do not stop giving us updates, pls...

Cool addition.
NL doing good in '06 so far.
Thought Maxwell would be dead for 1/2 year after RC4.

I would like the focus and autofocus feature in the plugin! That you cannot do without Studio.

I'm on a PBG4 1gb and was able to start the plugin and Studio trouble-free. It surprised me!

I've been too busy to play w MWG4 until this eve. Now, I'm going to try a few simple things and see. Starting up is one thing, rendering is another matter. We'll see.

But there´s still no way of using Cinemas materials with the plugin. This is a f*****g joke!

That was never the plan Rochr. All other renderers also use their own materials......

Well, at least you gave me a straight answer Mihai, thanks for that.
To bad this was not mentioned anywhere when i bought the damn thing or i wouldn´t have bothered buying.
But at least i can safely put this garbage to rest, and buy Final Render instead.

Unless anyone want to buy a licence cheap. Hey, if NL constantly changes the deal from the original one, so can i.

Calm down Rochr.... just because you didn't do any research before you bought the product, don't blame NL - It would have taken a couple of read in the forum to realize it uses a proprietary material system.

Why is everyone so surprised that a "unbiased" renderer won't implement non-realistic material representations. Get a clue.

I knew that the studio(which btw wasn´t announced until NL´s new webpage, and AFTER quite a few people have already bought Maxwell) have it´s own system and i´m fine by that, but when none of the newer plugins can even render a simple image texture, it´s getting ridiculous.
The funny thing is, it worked with the beta.
