no,
it´s just the problme, that I cannot have 2 identical mxm tags for the same object in cinema..

a very simple workaround would be to offer 4 or 6 identical mxm tags with just differnt names/IDs..

Just like:
Maxwell Custom MXM 1
Maxwell Custom MXM 2
Maxwell Custom MXM 3
Maxwell Custom MXM 4

AndreD wrote:but is´nt the main advantage of polygonselection the use of different materials for _one_ object?!

anyway, that plugin could be helpful, as long as we have no polygonselection with multible mxm:

(just downloading)

NO ! :!:

but thank you very much for this help Maximus,i know this splitting polygone selcetion in c4d but for what you need then the polygone selection after splitting ?

splitting the poly secetion this i the only way we can work with maxwell.

and it needs to much time
but thanks :)

yes it needs looking at and i agree with andreD and i will also add that if i have a base plastic tag and then add a custom tag with an alpha of lets say some text set on a selection tag i would like the base plastic to react like it does with c4d materials so the plastic is there where the alpha isnt. PLEASE :D

Yes, that is how it "should" work. So far I am having to separate polys from their objects as maximus suggests.

I am sure it will come back to bite me in the a** at some point...

can someone, maybe tyron confirm that NL is aware that polyselection with only one mxm is very limited (if not useless-i use only mxm's), and that there will be a fix for this in an update?

it IS possible in c4d to have more than one Tag of the same kind of one object.

it would be also helpful, that if there is only ONE material(no poly selection used) that the MW tag AUTOMATICLY takes the texture coordinates from the c4d Material-as this was in all older versions.

cheers& thanks,
