dof preview in LightWave

I wonder if the dof preview in LightWave 9.2 and later correspond to the dof in Maxwell Render? Does anyone know from experience? Thanks.

I've made tests a long time ago with Fprime. DOF was quite the same. I did not like so much LW native DOF (I mean 7.5 and 8.x, did not experimented with 9.x DOF), so I can't tell.

When FPrime DOF seems to be the same, then it should be the same like LightWave's DOF preview.

There is a limitation with Fprime, though: the frame height setting does not affect DOF: it's always matching a 24 mm frame height (not tested with fprime 3.x). AFAIK, Maxwell lightwave plugin also matches a 24 mm frame height DOF, even if you can change that in studio. So, unless if you have a good reason to do otherwise, it's better to stick to 24 mm frame height. If you want an exact match, the picture size (in pixels) should be homothetic of 36*24 (for instance, 900x600).
