Network rendering and network path error

I have floating license and 10 render nodes but have never been able set up network rendering :( but I am trying...

For testing, I have just two machines set up. One is running the manager and both is running as nodes. From my MacBook Pro (not the one with the Manager app) I am running the Monitor app. Both machines are listed under "Render Nodes". So i guess it's set to go.

I have a job folder with 100 mxs's including textures etc. on the same machine that the manager is running and I am submiting them as a batch job through the Monitor app on the other machine. I have a number of problems though... (submitting a single mxs is no different)

1. The job is rendered but despite the Manager saying that all nodes are rendering, in fact the only machine getting anything assigned is my MacBook (where the Monitor app is running).

2. I can't preview render jobs.

3. The renders are placed on the Manager machine, but in var/folders/something... (not the destination folder chosen from the Wizard). All output png has the same name and is saved in separate job folders. It's a mess.

Hope someone can help me out with this :?

Thanks
Anders

Hi Anders,

Regarding points 1 and 3, please take a look at this page from our online documentation: http://support.nextlimit.com/display/mx ... leshooting. It has some very important tips about network render in mac.

In relation with point two there was a bug in version 3.2.0.0 that was fixed in following versions. You can download the latest from the Early Builds site: http://www.maxwellrender.com/betas/plugin/22

Hopefully it will solve your problem.

Regards,

Fernando
