releasing a node lowers the SL

When I release a node from a job while rendering I see a drop in SL.
Does that mean its better to stop the job and resume it with fewer nodes when I need to release a node from rendering ?

I think this is because that nodes calculations will no longer be used for merging, so naturally the final SL displayed will be smaller. What you would need to do if the rendering has already started is the stop it and wait for the merging to finish also, then re-add the job and it will ask you if you want to resume the render (because it sees you already have an MXI with the same name in the output folder, as the output of the job you are adding), so select resume and it will continue from where it left off. Resuming network jobs was something added in 2.7 I think.
