So I have two files, one I create today and one that was create a couple months ago. For some reason, the one from a couple months ago won't merge the mxi files whereas the one create today will.
the error I get is this:

[24/January/2012 22:35:14] ERROR: Unable to open file for sending!
[24/January/2012 22:35:14] ERROR: File \\Main\Users\itsallgoode9\AppData\Local\temp\mxnetwork\rendernode\default.mxi cannot be sent!
[24/January/2012 22:35:14] ERROR: File does not exist

The paths are the same for both scenes. I've even exported the geo out of the non working file and imported them into the working file with no luck. Any thoughts?

Figured it out, although i'm not sure what the reasoning is. If I tell the render to not output an MXI file, it is causing the files not to merge in the end. It seems like it's doesn't like outputting to a temp folder. I tried changing the temp file output location to many different folders, but nothing changed. Not sure if this is a bug or a setting that I have wrong. Anyway, i have it working now, as long as I tell it to output a mxi file.
