On your main pc under the render tab manually set your ip for that machine before running mxcl -server then it should be fine. (it defaults to local host or 127.0.0.1)

This is detailed no doubt a bit clearer in other threads that I can't find at the moment.

You should start manager first, is that what you did?

wagurto,

Before you start server on your main pc you need to start the viewer ( mxcl.exe -d). In the viewer you will see a network tab, click that, then click the options button and type in manually the ip address for that machine (192.168.?.?).

After you've done this, then start -server on the machine and everything will be ok.

On your main PC (192.168.1.99) you have to start server, too !!!
There is no preview of render during network render ! :(

Yes its a shame not to have preview. I understand that need to merge the coop. file manual? where did these file go?

Hello,

same here. I have started the server right after launching the manager and configuring its ip-address. I does not show up! Only the other nodes in the network.

the coop render seems to be VERY buggy and complicated in this 1.0 version. The single rendered mxi's seem to be save in every servers home directory as cooperative.mxi I guess. I just tried coop 2 times and I am waiting for an updated version when all the obvious stuff is fixed.

By the way, if your server on your manager comp is not working, maybe it is a firewall issue ???

If you set the image path to a network drive under 'render options' then you can see this unmerged preview by viewing the jpeg. It's better than nothing as far as a preview goes.

On your manager pc you need to run manager, then run -d viewer(configure render options, paths etc and edit your ip address), then run server, then you will see all nodes under the network tab where you can then add a job and start rendering.
