Maxwell Render | Official public forum

it´s actually my first rendering with maxwell. so far i didn´t want to wait 20h for a noisy rendering very impatient and spoiled when it comes to rendertimes. i wanted to wait until the "real" version of maxwell is released. but if i look at the RC i think i it will take another year. so i took the beta again and started to play around. i used an old scene which i thought would be a nice test for interior. and it´s a scene i can compare to vray and final render. actually i like maxwell. not because of the quality. the quality (even in details) is not really amazing. nothing that can´t be done similar/better in vray or fR. nothing !!! but what´s really nice is that you actually don´t do a lightsetup. the maxwell rendering looks quite similar to my vray and fR versions but it took me quite a time in vray to do this lightsetup....this is really a plus in maxwell. but i think it will be my only maxwell rendering for a long time 15h is still faaaar to long (this image was done with a dual/dualcore amd) for a rendering.

Wonderful picture you made here, that warm look of the sunlight in this room is amazing .. and yes would be very interesting to see this scene made in Vray / fR also. I really prefer the Maxwell philosophy "easy setup, long render" as opposed to "difficult setup, fast render" (then its just a question of having enough computer power )
