By the way, where have you seen this lamp? (the one of the second picture) , I can show you pictures of lots of lamps like this one here in Spain

it's a lamp designed by poul henningsen, it's called Artichoke. quite a famous one, designed in the late 50s.

Yeah that chair one is really good! Not sure exactly what makes it so photographic, but it's great!

very good ones. i'd have loved to have them as reference while setting up the lights.
thanks siliconbauhaus. i didn't do that much anyway, just a bit of work on the materials and picking up a good sun position (bit of photoshop too).

The first one is great ! ( I mean both are great renders ....) but I like the first sofa.
Can you tell us your light settings?

thanks iker, here is the setup:
two main lights (50x50 cm emitters 800W) and one for the background (50x50 cm emitter 650W). 14 samples reached in 2 hours at 1024x768 on a dual xeon 2,4. 6 bounces.
that's it.

when you say 800 w how does your settings for the emitters look then ? 5000 is the default ? how many w is that ?
