Yeah just saw this in the Maxwell gallery yesterday. LOVE IT!! Cool effect with the bump mapping.

I added the piano and allowed it to run until it reached level 18 - 72 hours

Hi Victor,
There are 16 uplytes @ 18 faces each = 288 faces
152 downlights @ 16 faces each = 2432 faces
35 balcony lihts @ 12 faces each = 420 faces
203 lights total @ 3140 faces

oh and almost forgot

- the little radial accent lights in the Canopy
321 @ 4 faces each = 1284 faces
Grand total
524 lights @ 4424 faces

The interesting thing is that it reached level 15 in 22 hours and except for a little less noise the image quality was already a quite acceptable.

Yeah, if it's the piano you're referring to, I tossed one in I had kicking around and just applied a black plastic material.
At these rendering times I didn't do any test renders of the new piano object

which brings up an interesting issue. If you have a complex scene which you've tested and set up to do a final render which is going to take some time and at the last minute decide to make a geometry change or addition, it sure would be nice to implement a region render to test a small area of the image - hint, hint

Can Maxwell take advantage of Max's region rendering? I assumed not, so I haven't tried this.
