by Jason Jacobs
Hi all. Here are some of the initial images being done for a new contract. Hopefully, there will be over 900 renderings in the end. Maxwell makes it possbile to achieve predictable and consistent results - which is very important when doing so many renderings for one client. C&C Welcome.

NOTE - we are also looking for architectural modelers, texture artists, and post production folks. Interested individuals can inquire by sending an email with work samples to:

jobs@3dplans.net

Many thanks,

Jason Jacobs

Wow!!,

Great stuff Jason, particularly like the grass and trees. How do you get the grass looking that good?

What sort of rendering times are you looking at for these images?

Hi Fran! Thanks for the comments. I'd be curious to hear what makes it a notch above my other stuff. I always value your input. :)

GuyR, thanks. The grass is done with Maxwell Displacement. Render times were about 6 to 8 hours each at 3000 x 2400. I just let 'em cook over night.

(Before I start a frenzy, I was only joking about displacement. :P )

  Were you kidding here too? I mean, it looks to me like you have glass in the windows and I can see the curtains behind them...and there's no noise!!

Sweet work!!

Nice works Jason :)

There are a few things i'd like to point my finger at if you don't mind even tho these are finished works already.

- They all look "flat", i'm not sure why but i can only see these being quite as easy rendering with Scanline or another engine, i have a hard time seeing what exactly Maxwell does for these scenes.
- Where are the clouds ? i miss them
- No people in the scene ?
- Your grass is a bit long.. it needs to be trimmed

Regarding the grass and relatively short rendertimes with little to no noise, are you using a new beta since you mention Maxwell Displacement for the grass ? and also since your rendertimes are cut short with very little noise unless they been postprocessed.

Btw, you should render night/dusk scenes of these houses ;)

Good work! and thanks for the tip about those jobs you offer, it interests me even tho i'm not a archi type guy.
