Hi!
I just needed to test this 'k3dsurf' MathModeling software. I'm far from what master jotero did, but you have to start at somepoint
just one strange thing:
The M~W stopwhatch was wrong...
This was console-output this morning:
[2h 54m 43s] of [100h 0m 0s] , current sampling level : 14.56
BUT mxs creation was at 01:46 and the Time when looking at the M~W window was 8:36 ... for me that makes about 5:30 ...
Is it because I use 4 threads on a dual xeon system??

I can not understand you preblem with time exactly. But Mxs creation or Voxelization is not multithreaded yet.
Also I recomend to use -th:16 if you have Dual Xeons HT, you will see some speed increase.
Very nice renderings...

What I just want to say ist, that it seemed like M~R is not calculating the rendering times... or let's say thats what it looks like...
But it's nothing to really worry about
th:16 helps!? Good to know
I guess I'll start some performance tests

andronikos, I experienced setting threads to 16 in the plugin will give me 8 threads at render time.. (shown in the viewer console)
i got 2 xeons ht in that machine. why does maxwell set the number of threads down by itself?
anyone with the same experience?

same here, i can't use more than 8 threads either. not that i'm really concerned, i think i remember juan saying to use the correct number of threads (4 for a dual xeon ht) to get the best performance.

you need to edit the mxcl option
add the -th:16
so you should have -d -th:16

i am afraid that u cannot use more than the thread that your license allows u to use , that is 8 if i remember well
so writing -th:16 cannot effect the render at all andronikos u might as well write -th:8

@andronikos916: "different beta tester license "??
Is that what you have!?
I tested it:
More Threads = better speed?

the difference is very small... Not always is benefitial to use more threads...
