:: well why don't you render some users and some of the consequenses of this addiction.
Sorry i might not have the right to say this, but i don't like this kind of subject matter as a way of exploring your rendering skills.

I do understand the critics, but it's still a great render.
that needle is huge

those needles look way too thick, needles come in a few few standard gauges, I would never stick something like that in my arm.
is it modeled from a kit you have seen, or invented.
imo glass plungers are bettter looking and more sanitary
from a strictly medical view.

Come on now guys. As artists we a part of the biggest Demon, Sex and drug oriented profession in the world. It's just that most here are Architects. If we are to have more character folks this is what we will be getting.
I use Star Wars Mythos to explain it. The way to the dark side gives a quick jump in power (or in this case admiration from you peers.) At least that is how it works in most forums.

There's so many people arround, modelling and rendering tanks and other weapons - even complete war scenes. Not for use in motion pictures, but just for fun. Nobody is complaining about those, as being tasteless.
Just an observation. Holger

how did you combine the materials on one object in Maxwell ?
they all are simply white plastic...
Just for my understanding...
Did you bake them into one material and then with uvw mapping for maxwell ?
would be great to know.
thanks a lot anyway for sharing the light setup.
looks really great

Hey Pyrael
Very nice imagens, especialy the "Caranbola", name given to this yellow, star-shape extruded translucid fruit, here in Brazil. You got it right man, it's natural shader looks just like this.
About the Heroin kit, it is really a lot of Hipocresy to condemt it, as it exists in the real world and is part of our society.
Very nice approach to it, though.

hi pyrael, sure, i'd like to see some more...
for now i can only say that your seats seems a lil too cubic, and the tablet quite small ( seems small once you fold it )
