Hey
I just finished this render.
The inspiration for it came from a 3d picture found on the net.
The only think im not satisfied with is the look of the water and how the light dosnt penetrate it...
Hope you like it

Hey pedro. thanks for your comments.
The water was done with a plane with about 30x30 segments. Then i applied a noise with about 2 cm in z strenght and a low scale vaule 0,02. For a good smooth result i used a meshsmooth with 1 iteration. Thats all... I hope its usefull

nice one mate.
water seems to be a real pain for me as I cant get it to appear transparent. it seems to reflect too much sky and therfore looks dark blue

A nice image. The reflections in the water looks acurate to me. It's all down to the angle. If you had the camera over the water looking down it would be much more transparent.
For future I think perhaps a better ripple pattern would be nice including ripples bouncing back from the pool sides.

Is the water material plastic or dielectric? Cause if you used the plastic method then there is no way light will penetrate it.

The water is a dielectric. So the strong sunlight should penetrate the water.
And becco you are right about the refelctions.
