Hello, we are working and creating a 3d program for modelling shoes, fully integrated with maxwell render (you can see screen captures with maxwell materials in the application)

Here are some personal projects:

Airwalk Prototype:

Modelling time: 4 hours
Rendering time Still Images: 45 minutes each image, Maxwell Sampling Level: 18 ( 2500 x 1414 px ), ligthing with hdri
Rendering Time Animation: 4 hours (1280 x 720) 16 SL

Nike Air Max:

The sole was modeled in Rhino, and the body of the shoe was created in 3D Plus (3d software for shoes)
Render with Maxwell Render (1 hour 45 minutes, SL 18 with Renderfarm , lighting with emitters)
Post production in Photoshop.
After a lot of tests, we have spent 2 hours for the entire model.
Modeled by Borja Corbí, and textured, lighting, rendering and post production by myself.

Hope you like it!

thanks for your comments!

eric nixon, fur has done in post production with photoshop, painting hair in some areas.
I did a lot of tests with maxwell fur, and for this kind of material, it´s better in post.

thanks!

when I get home, I will show you how to do it with some screen shots, it´s very easy.

Here is the screen shot

As you can see, hair´s image is on the left, and without it in the right, and in the bottom, you can see the brush that i used, and how it works in the white space.
In shoe rendering, you have to paint hair with that brush in the piece´s edges.
This effect must be subtle.
For animation, you need fur and hair, and too much time...

any doubt, let me know!
