very nice test, is there any post process here ?
how many polys did you use in the dome ?

thX...there is no post process...I only cut it to a better format,...with the render options I do some finetuning...the dome has 144 polys

That's a lot of poly's for an emitter, you done well to keep it noise free.

...so here is a little and very very simple sss-test,...I made a little crazy cartoon-cardboard city on a table,...I think that´s a little bit more interesting than only a cube or a sphere

...and for a sss-test I thnik it is adequate....all objects have sss only the table don´t have,...I hope you like it...

Lovely illustration! very moody.
If you do a bit of work on your polygons you wont get those odd triangular 'markings' I have issues with that too. It's better to slice the object horizontally between each row of windows then clean up, this should elimate the rendering errors.
