Out of Place, render competition

My entry to the ‘Out of Place’ Maxwell for SketchUp render competition selected 2nd place winner.

This Lunar Lansdscape, as Richard Neutra called it, the desert landscape, when he was hired by Edgar Kaufmann to design a vacation house in Palm Springs, one of his most brilliant projects: Desert Kaufmann House.
Ten years before, the same Kaufmann comissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to design the famous Fallingwater House, but, a decade later visited Taliesin West in Arizona, he was not impressed and he went to Neutra.

What would happen if Kaufmann had hired Wright to design his house in the desert???

PENITENT PROCESSION

my entry to the Maxwell Render Spanish HDRI render competition, my image is inspired on one of Spains most traditional celebrations of the holy week: penitent processions

***clarifying note***
about the costumes, the penitent processions is a
practice that dates from several hundred years and is one of the most known
religious events in Spain during the holy week or easter (semana santa), the
origin of the garment dates from centuries, back in the middle age…
Please don’t confuse Nazarenos with any extremist group

software used: DAZ studio, Marvelous Designer, Sketchup, Blender, Maxwell Render, Photoshop

I gotta say, this is nicely pushing Sketchup to its limits. Some of your images could definitely be enhanced with a higher end poly modeler, but considering your tools, I say bravo. Especially the second turfstone image with the light cube of mystery.
