SPD Tree - not another render...

These are renders that I did over the weekend playing with the "original" SPD routines that were made into a plugin for Lightwave by Ernie Wright. The routines and some history are available here:
http://home.comcast.net/~erniew/getstuff/spd.html
Here's a couple of renderings I did. First is "shadow projection" (sss at work), second is a combination of shadow and object.

I knew someone would ask... but the truth is, I don't know! I forgot to look before stopping! The first image ran for about 2 hours, the second I let run overnight... not much help, sorry!

I start and stop, close and re-start so many times, I wouldn't even know where or what log to look at...

Looking real cool, real cool... You could build up a stunning render from this concept. Better tree geometry, some extra fill light, some textures...

Thank you!

I'm still thinking about it. The tree geometry will stay though; this "object" has historical importance. Please have a look a the SPD link for the history...
