Thanks for all your comments. As I said earlier, its only a test, not the finished scene. and yes, I composed the music and mixed with the sound fx. Timming its not perfect, I know, but it will be in the final version. :).

Maybe it’s because I’m a hobbyist that I don’t see the things you guys see.
I have been watching the movie over and over again and I still love it.

sorry

This is fantastic!

I entered this "mini-movie" in this manner:

The second countdown is novel, should be much shorter (no more than couple seconds).

The movement of the structure was very good- strange because there was a great deal of realism to it. The texture mapping needs to be much higher as the super structure fell there was indication that this was not so real. It was 2.5D realism instead of full on 3D realism- it had this kind of cartoon-realism effect to it. This may actually be a good thing if you pursue it more.

Otherwise higher texture resolution, less saturation. Very good..I would be inclined to watch more of your animation work!

:) Thanks Tyrone. I only could afford to let it render for 8 minutes per frame. No motion blur or DOF to make it faster. Otherwise it would look better :).

I think for a test it looks fine for its purpose, and even though it needs refining it looks great. Tonfarben is to harsh, and I am not sure why tonfarben thinks you need his respect. I love Maxwell but sometimes people in this forum feel the need to lecture rather then offer constructive criticisms. I think everyone would agree that we can’t wait to see your final work.
Cheers 8)

I thought it was pretty cool. Countdown takes up half the time though.
