Hi!

I want to show you my last reel, normally when you made a reel, you get the best projects from the last year to making a great edition with cool music and that's all, but I wanted to make it more interesting : )

I picked my favorites shots from the Alma short film by Rodrigo Blaas, the Grandfather of Soul short film from Keytoon and others works, to repeat all the shading, lighting and compositing stuff again... sounds crazy, but if I want to show my best as lighting artist I can't use stuff that right now I see obsolete, and was very funny go back to Alma, Grandfather, Trucktown...and remember the feeling in these great projects.

As you know I use Maxwell as my primary option for the render, and the last version allowed me push the lighting & shading to the way that I wanted in the past with these projects, more complex shaders with subsurface scattering, glossy and blurry reflections, hair, more control with the lighting setups... and all these with less render time and Fire to adjust in realtime every detail, I really enjoyed the reel process

I want to say thanks to the people that help me in the process, with comments, support...like Rodrigo Blaas, Sergio Pablos, Alex, Victor Ruiz, Angel Navarro, Jesus Diaz and specially to Juan, Oscar, Albert and the NL team

As usual C&C are welcome, and I hope you like it!

Thanks for all comments! I really glad you like it, was very time in front the computer with the same scenes adjusting the lighting, the color, the compositing...at the end you lose the way xD, and I didn't know if I was in the correct way or not, so is good to see the comments!

Is a post processed with a scanline render pass, just to add some atmosphere in the scene to help the dramatic lighting.

Fantastic job, really.
May I ask about how did you make the wool cap and scarf material?
Was it something like shave and a haircut or some kind of fur, or a displacement?
