no, thanks.

I hate poser figures in render pictures. That ruins the pictures most of the time. Maxwell might make it look like a photo - the figure will spoil it. If necessary then I prefer silhouettes of people added in ps or just 2d people on planes that make it look more artistic, but I absolutely HATE poser figures. (especially because people think they take some figures and stances, add some clothes and terragen and think they are really good in 3d. I know that is not the case here, but this figure does not help your picture...)

I'm not a huge fan of Poser either, but adding a human like figure does give context -- something many scenes can lack and something not necessarily accomplished with basic silhouettes as you suggest -- I've never viewed any of these tools as an all or nothing proposition but can understand your strong feelings -- it's just not easy adding figures to scenes and making it look good.

Cheers

I have to agree. Maybe if you were doing arch vis for a department store that used a lot of mannequins?

Seriously, they always look dead/zombielike. When I see serious arch vis with these poser figures, it always makes me chuckle.

Really the thing that kills it is her "hair" -- the shirt is a little stiff too... but I could work with the rest of it in post to make it sell, however nothing is going to sell that hair as real.

The rest of the render looks cool :D

Best,
Jason.

Adding a figure to a render is a difficult proposition...so subjective and a lot of judging before it even gets into a scene -- it's easy to see why people stay away from trying to integrate figures with scenes. The hair is pretty funny...not that I was trying for that

Where's a hat when you need it?

And the insane look on her face. :p It's the facial expressions on these models that tend to jump out at me most.

I agree with the majority that it's incredibly difficult to incorporate these types of models into an arch vis scene and have it look natural and fitting... The render looks ok otherwise but she takes the center of attention.

Hm, I have to agree with some of the previous posts, hair and expression for example. But I wouldn't rule out the possibilites with Poser figure.
Usually when I see interior design photos that have a person in it, they are sitting, maybe reading, relaxing in couch and so on...probably easier to make them fit the scene if they aren't the primary object in the pic.
And farther away as common in archwiz it should look pretty good?

Not sure what poser can do with the clothes...but the skin texture, especially the hands look pretty good.

It may be better to show a figure not fully facing camera (less the focal point)...would agree on the hands -- probably the "easiest" part to integrate although the figure isn't holding an object.
