Cool! I really miss making proper models.....then trying to make them look like the real thing by photographing them against a sky.

Thanks for all the comments! I had a great time creating this scene. Lately I have been exclusively using Mental Ray on projects. It's funny how you forget how wonderful Maxwell is until you've been away for a while. Me and Maxwell fell in love all over again. Things just work, and Maxwells DOF, Grain, Exposure, diffraction/scatter etc are gorgeous! So little to do in post. Not to mention how much the AE plug-in with multi-light helps. That is pure awesome! If I get some minutes to rub together I would like to optimize the scene a bit better and do a little camera fly-through of the scene. Pretty sure I could get this reasonable clean in 10-15 minutes/frame @720p. May have to give up on physically lensing the lamp and omit the window glass from GI though. I'll post it if I get to it.
